SITE ANALYSIS

                                                  Occupancy

Site Characteristic: Rocks abruptly meet the sea. The site is often extremely dark at night. It is also isolated from the main city, thus is not as congested as the beaches of the city.
Site Context: Ruins of the Bandra Fort and its amphitheatre lie at a distance from the site. The access is flanked by two prominent hotels. The Bandra – Worli Sea link can be viewed from the site.
Site Use/Misuse: The rocky topography serves as seats for people to experience the sea, though people often walk deeper into the sea even during high tide. Hawkers have encroached into the area and the site is primarily occupied by couples.
